R U OK? is a highly recognised and well-received national campaign that is evidence informed and has a strong footprint in Australian communities.
R U OK?'s existing campaign activities, materials, strategies, event ideas and other
resources are freely available on this site.
Supporting
merchandise can also be purchased at a discounted rate by applying the code LIFESPAN.
As an extension of LifeSpan's partnership with R U OK? - people living in
trial site communities are being encouraged to complete Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) – an online training program that teaches people to recognise and respond positively to someone who may be exhibiting suicide warning signs and behaviours.
Whilst R U OK? can help provide some tips
on how to have a conversation with someone who’s struggling, supporting someone at high risk of suicide requires some more specific skills.
QPR is a great next step for people who are interested in actively contributing to suicide prevention. It only takes 60 minutes and is available for just $10 for people who live in a participating LifeSpan trial region.
The discounted QPR online gatekeeper program can be accessed below.
