The women who make asking R U OK? a part of their every day

hello • Mar 08, 2022

We asked our community to tell us about the women that have made a difference in their life and why. Here’s what they had to say.

Today, March 8, is International Women's Day. It's a day to celebrate all women, everywhere, for what they've achieved in the world and how they've changed our lives.

We asked our community to share with us the women in their lives who are always there to ask, "are you OK?", and lend a listening ear. Here's what you told us.

  • My bestie for sure! Always looks me right in the eyes and asks, 'how are you doing?'. And I know she wants to hear the answer - Chloe
  • My wife and best friend ever - Marty
  • My incredible work-wife. She's always looking out for me and  suggests a coffee and walk  if she thinks I'm struggling - Amy
  • My darling Claire - Rosie
  • My nan. I know I can always trust her - Lily
  • My best friend, she has supported me through some of the hardest times in life - Mallory
  • My sweet sister, always on speed dial! - Kim
  • My beautiful HR boss. She is so kind to our team, always asking genuinely if we are OK - Kate
  • My fried. She's always there to talk to when things are tough. I'm lucky to have such a great friend - Joel
  • My mum! - Diana
  • Rachel - the sister I picked. 23 years and still always there
  • My boss and my mum - Anna
  • My gorgeous wife! She is amazing - Paul
