The R U OK? Student Connection Champions Program is a new peer-led initiative designed for secondary schools to strengthen student connection, wellbeing, and help-seeking behaviours through age-appropriate education and engagement.

Co-designed with educators and students, the program provides structured, ready-to-use resources that complement existing school wellbeing frameworks while fostering meaningful peer connections.

The program aims to embed R U OK? principles into school culture year-round and reinforce the message to students to Ask R U OK? Any Day

WHY SHOULD MY SCHOOL GET INVOLVED?

  • Strong peer relationships help students feel connected, supported, and confident to look out for one another.
  • Co-designed with educators and students, the program aligns seamlessly with your existing wellbeing framework and requires minimal staff time.
  • It’s a simple, free, and scalable way to activate student voice, strengthen transitions, and make meaningful conversations part of everyday school life—not just a single awareness day.
  • The resources are pick-up and ready-to-use for educators and student champions.
  • The program has been independently evaluated.
