New R U OK? at Work resources

hello • Aug 19, 2016

Be the kind of person to ask

It’s time to get workmates talking with our new R U OK? at Work resources.

By using those hilarious and awkward moments that we often find ourselves in, the resources are a great reminder that we’ve all got what it takes to start a conversation with someone we’re worried about.

Put the posters up in the kitchen, toilets, above the photocopier - anywhere where your workmates hang out.

Be sure to send out the email content at key points in the year (such as R U OK?Day on Thursday 8 September, Christmas time, end of financial year etc). We also recommend that you invite a person of influence with a reputation for promoting mental health and wellbeing to send it out.

The resources include:

  • 4 posters (including one featuring the 4 steps to a meaningful conversation)
  • 3 suggested email content
  • 1 EDM header
If you need more inspiring content, don’t forget to check out our YouTube channel.

Mental health issues are likely to affect almost half of the Australian population at some stage in their lives, so encouraging these conversations at work is the right thing to do. Beyond that, there’s also a legal imperative. Workplaces have a duty of care to their staff.

So… Will you be the kind of person to ask?

You can download the campaign resources here.
