Businesses, schools, universities, sports clubs and healthcare professionals can show their support for R U OK?Day by registering for our programs, which are designed to encourage people to maintain connections and regularly ask the simple question "Are you OK?"

R U OK? programs have 5 key objectives:

  1. Help break the stigma that prevents suicide being openly discussed
  2. Generate a conversation at a national level, and encourage people to connect with their friends and loved ones and ask "R U OK?"
  3. Encourage all people to take responsibility for reaching out to people doing it tough, while creating a safe communication platform for those at-risk
  4. Support and promote the work of our information partners and encourage people to seek expert help when required
  5. Reduce the number of suicide deaths

What is R U OK? at Work?

The R U OK? at Work program is designed to help combat workplace stress by urging employers and business leaders to actively encourage positive, meaningful conversations in the workplace and ensure that all staff know who to turn to when they’re not OK.

What is R U OK? at School?

This program was developed by students, for students. With support from ReachOut.com, teenagers from across Australia have contributed to the development of R U OK? resources, which they hope will raise awareness among their friends and ensure everyone at school is asking each other “R U OK?”

What is R U OK? at Uni?

R U OK? at Uni encourages tertiary students to stay connected and have open conversation with each other, with the aim to reduce study-related and future workplace stress.

What is R U OK? in Sport?

Sport is a great avenue to promote the R U OK? message to men, youths and remote communities. By encouraging sport communities across Australia to host events in the lead-up to R U OK?Day, we hope teammates will regularly check-in with each other and support one another through life's ups and downs.

What is R U OK? in Health?

When you are unwell or living with a mental illness, it can make life’s ups and downs seem even more difficult to cope with. R U OK? in Health has a range of resources for medical staff and health professionals to use in their clinics and workplaces to help people they work with understand how and where to ask for help.

In 2010, R U OK?Day generated more than 2 million conversations (AMR Interactive, 2010) and over 700 organisations took place in the R U OK? at Work initiative, including Commonwealth Bank, Rio Tinto, Queensland Police and Centacare.
